View Full Version : Premier League Title Run In

So who do we think will take the title this year?
Currently:
---------------P---GD---PTS
1 Liverpool---34--51---77
2 Chelsea----34--42---75
3 Man City---32--54---70
I think Chelsea will beat Liverpool next weekend and pip them to the title. Three horse race for sure though. As much as it pains me to say, Liverpool have been fantastic this season and would certainly be worthy winners.

Chelsea have the easier run of games coming up as well as strength in depth but cant score goals
City are done without Toure and I dont like them anyway
Liverpool have been consistent throughout and can score from anywhere on the field but I despise Liverpool and I'm sure I'd be in the 80% of the population that would be deeply disgusted if they won it
I'm going with Chelsea

I think chelsea will win it, I can see them beating the scouse and city dropping points elsewhere.
I think real madrid will win la liga too

Liverpool have always bottled it but not so far. I want them to win so Stevie g gets a medal, but I can see them ending third. Chelsea first.

Liverpool are going to win of course. Not least because I support them but we have a relatively easy run bar Chelsea and Palace.

Why despise Liverpool,I can't understand your hatred towards them.Unlike the other 2 teams liverpool do have a history & when you look at how much they've spent on players compared to the other title contenders,I think they deserve it & the fantastic style of football they've played this season.Yes I am a lfc supporter(have family up there & used to be a season ticket holder):y:

WHAT?! Are you serious? Chelsea have the easier run of games.. I'm a Chelsea fan... We have 2 champions league games that the other 2 don't have to play.., One either side of the Liverpool game.. We have the hardest run.. By a long shot!

They play good football, but Suarez needs a bullet.. Took points off chelsea at the end of last season when he should have been sent off for biting Ivanovic, and then went on to score an equalizer.. Should have been sent off yesterday for that huge dive when no one even touched him..
He is a world class player, but a world class dick too. Dirty player, deserves a lifetime ban. Sturridge and Sterling however, have been class, especially Sterling for his age!

Oh, and City will win, Kompany may go out, but Aguero will be back for the last few games

With the last foul when suarez went down,I thought at the time that he`d taken a dive. That's until I saw the replay when you can see that the man city player has caught him with an outstretched leg(minimal contact I know)

Heres a short list of why the majority of the UK despise liverpool....
Constantly living off their Shankly history (as shown here by yourself)
The fake treble
Retaining Suarez through desperation (any decent club would have cancelled his contract)
The array of annoyances that have been associated with the club - Souness, Dalglish, Rafa, Carragher
I'm sure theres a few that would say their fans are gash and sing some pretty horrid songs too.

Got me really annoyed yesterday when Yaya went off, and the commentator said how sporting the liverpool fans are.. But every time City got the ball, the Liverpool fans booed.. One of my friends who is a fan said "it's called atmosphere".. I said atmosphere is cheering your team.. Such as the game after, Swansea cheered for their team when they didn't have the ball, to make them want to go and get it..
The Liverpool fans were whistling too.. That kind of shit needs to stay in the foreign game!

Don't think though that any liverpool manager has ever head butted an opposition player & still kept his job.I`m not getting into a slanging match over this, because at the end of the day it's only football.:drink:

He was sent off each time he did infact try to eat a lump out of someone, thus stopping full scale canabalism
That champions leage when they didnt finish high enough in the league but still qualified for the champions league via the backdoor and won it. Abit like the plastic treble really

Do you by any chance support Newcastle?Tell me something have they actually won a trophy in their entire history?O'h & which treble did you mean the 1st one or the 2nd one,you see your argument is flawed on so many fronts. So you've had dalglish & souness as a manager play your cards right & you may get carragher next lol.

The problem with Liverpool fans is that they're overly defensive and sensitive, generally. It's practically impossible to have a rational football conversation with most.

I find United fans (not all) but most tend to be the biggest hypocrits.
If us Liverpool fans start to gloat about being top of the league they tend to pipe up with "you haven't won it yet" or "you won't win because you're shit". Then when the tables are turned it all of a sudden becomes a guarantee that they will win.
I've seen no end of United fans (up until recently) harp on about being in the Champions League when Liverpool aren't. They tend to forget that next year we will and they won't.

Lets not change the subject at hand, this is about Liverpool. I am from Newcastle although I dont particularly support them as they have been a bit of a theatrical embarassment for the last 14 years (looks like its going to carry on for a while yet). They did win the championship recently
The 'treble' I preclude to is the time you won the league cup, FA cup and UEFA cup. This cannot be compared to what Man Utd did, abit like the Champions League win. The treble you talk about is genuine although it was over 30 years ago, once again reciting history.

Let's be honest, Chelsea are the last premiership team to win the CL.. If we had a decent striker, we would be dicking everyone.
I do love how you genuinely can't have a conversation with Lolerpool fans though.. You mention how they have played badly "Yeh well we used to win the league every season".. Great, 24 years ago, when you were still shitting your nappy..
Same with united fans.. The best one was when it was the last england game, and they asked people who the best partnerships for england were, in each set of positions.. One bloke with a united top on said that the best defenders in the league were definitely Smalling and Jones.. Best midfield was "without a doubt" Flecture and Carrick, and the best strike force in the league just "had to be" Welbeck and Rooney.. EL OH EL

Well, it was the first real world treble in the premiership not the old first division so I can see their point.
Newcastle fans are thickle to the point of being retarded, I could write a page about their short sightedness (is that a word?)
