A lot of folk have been asking for a thread on the Leon, rather than a link to another forum where I normally store my pics. So, here it is. I'll keep it updated with future results and work too...

The pictures below were taken at the start of August last year. The previous major detail was only done 4 weeks previously, when I used Poorboys SSR1 to remove some swirls, then Klasse All in One (AIO) to add a basecoat of protection and finally P21S carnuba wax as my last step product. For this detail, I simply washed it really well with Poorboys Super Slick n Suds shampoo and then finished with a single layer of Optimum Car Wax (OCW).

Several months on, and after 4-5 further applications of OCW, my car looks even wetter, with really deep reflections. This is hard to achieve on silver, and really proves what OCW can do. In the pictures below I also redressed the tyres with Poorboys Bold n Bright. The interior was vacuumed and all hard surfaces dressed with 303 Protectant. I finally gave the engine bay a once over, dressing all plastic and rubber surfaces with 303 Protectant and adding a coat of OCW to all painted surfaces.

In the last six months things have moved on a lot, and the above results can now be surpassed with the Jeffs Werkstatt acrylic range. I'll post results of using Jeffs over the coming weeks, showing what it does to silver in terms of popping the metallic flake and enhancing the gloss.

Cheers lad. It's not easy keeping it this way - until a month ago it was doing 300 miles a week on crappy back roads up here. It's now coming up to it's fifth birthday, and has over 80,000 on the clock. At least now it sits on the drive most of the time! :D:

Damn you and your sexy car cleaningness!

Love it mate, really do.

Can you recommend a couple of products for me please? I would like a good shampoo that wont affect any BlackFire polish and sealant and would like one that may remove them as well (Different washes, of course).

For regular safe washing that won't strip your last step product Poorboy's Slick n Suds is awesome, but any of the other shampoos in the store are also fine. For a strip wash, I simply add 50ml of P21S Total Auto Wash to the suds bucket, and this does the job nicely. P21S is a great product to have kicking about, as it's superb for engine bay and wheel arch cleaning, plus a perfect product for deep cleaning plastic trims prior to dressing them. :)
