Alrighty gang.

This wont be until chrimbo but i have a set of VT* mirrors (ones with mirror caps) I coded them but used the wrong primer and the bastards flaked a few months after.

So now I'd like to code them once again but this time, remove the cap and fill the holes and fill in the recess for the cap.

I could probably work it out for myself but does anybody have any advice they are wishing to dish out such as... Type of filler, primer capable of supporting plastic and filler stuff etc...

fill the majority of the crease and holes with fibreglass filler something like P40. It wont stick well to untreated plastic but all you have to do is key the plastic, i normally use some hefty grade sand paper or a stanley knife and score it to give the fibreglass something to stick to. Quick rub down then a skim of normal body filler and sand smooth. Plastic filler primer can then be sprayed all over the mirror then lightly sanded adn repeat until the grain is lost. After using the plastic primer i normally use standard primer before painting as normal.

Thats pretty much excatly what i did to repair my interior mirror panels after the plank before me decided to drill some nice holes in them to attach some wank tweeters
