London could be a back up location should Brasil not pull their finger out, thoughts? Would be good to see another Olympics, I quite enjoyed the last one, would also help justify the expenditure and potentially help with tourism considerably..
Thoughts?
Probably wont happen but it's obviously being considered even if it is just a ploy to motivate Brasil.

Load of shite. The last lot was a shambles so I doubt they'd allow it to happen again.

Saw it earlier, clicked on the link just again and its been removed. Seems it's immediately been knocked on the head as unfeasible.
Soo changing topic.

How was it a shambles?
Haven't they converted/removed most of the Olympic park? The Olympic village is getting renovated into fancy appartments iirc.
Smells like unlikely bullshit. Not sure about a backup location halfway around the world to start with.

apart from being about as far as away as possible, its possibly the best 'backup' plan. its going to need less work to get it ready than any other place.

One aspect of it that went wrong, the rest of it seemed pretty successful to me.

Considering the build up that 2012 took, its not feasible to plan one in just two years!
Also who would pay, its not cheap to do an Olympics!

At football games, a lot of the time, half the people were still waiting to get in the stadium, when the game was more than half way through!
