Hi guys
Iv read up on the 3 problems fix but I only have the power steering not working!
People keep saying check the fuse but it doesn't even list one in the handbook! Please tell me the fuse to check and where it is!!
Mine is a 97 vtr....
Also iv looked under the steering column and the two red wires go into a plug but the plug doesn't go into anything. And I can't see ANY plug with brown wires going into it! Heeelllllpppp!
Many thanks

One fuse controls the pas heated rear screen and blower motor,so if out of the 3 the pas is the only thing not to work then the fuse is not faulty.

Why is it then I only have a brown plug with the two red wires going into it and nothing Connected into it? And I can't even see a plug with two brown wires going into it!

Get a pic up,it's more likely that either the grey pas relay under the battery tray is faulty or that the pas pump is faulty.

Yea I'm guessing the grey relay too. But why is this plug not connected?

Have you checked the fluid?
Could be a leak in the system, no fluid no PAS.
If thats fine check near the pump to the right, you will see a square plug/connector, its black with a large red bit which slides so the plug can come apart, this powers/cuts off the pump, make sure its connected.
if thats ok, try giving the pump a good thump or two. If still no luck i would go with a faulty pump :)
edit - this is what the plug will like

Well just tried those few things an no luck! Shouldn't those two red wires in the brown connector under the dash connect into something? Like in my first pic? Seems strange it doesn't and I can't see another brown connector anywhere!
Also I'm guessing that grey relay could be faulty? Guy said he fitted a replacement pump....
Thanks for your help by the way

Well I took about 6 grey relays out some other cars today and none worked!
Checked the 70amp inline fuse and that's fine
So tell me saxo gurus! Shouldn't this connector be plugged into something? I can't see a spare plug to plug it into???
Isn't this the power steering plug?
