I've got a saxo 1.4 furio 2001 and after starting from cold the engine temp light will light up after about 30 secs then go off and keep going on and off every now and again. Then when I turn it off the radiator fan keeps running for about 5 minutes then goes off. This happens like 80% of the time.
I've checked the system and there's no blockage, water comes out from the nipples.
Any ideas?

Has system been bled properly? Header tank etc...
Also check the sensors for water temp.

Bled the system and it has improved quite abit (not turning the light/fan on as much) but the issue still exists.

Check the thermostat. You can still get a bit of water out the nipples with a blocked one.

You may have to do it a few times more. Do it once while parked uphill and once parked down hill, that should move the remaining bubbles. I remember having to bleed 4-5 times last time I changed the coolant.
