Right folks.

I have a new IM beam with 23mm torsionz that I'm fitting to my S1 106 shell. I also have a pair of rear B8 dampers to fit.

The problem is, I ordered it -30mm and it's more like -80mm, it's ridiculously low. So, I've pulled the bars, and adjusted the height, still mega low.

I'm now at the point where I actually can't adjust the trailing arms any lower (higher ride height) as if I drop them further I can't fit the B8 dampers as at full extension they don't stretch between the 2 damper bolts.

So, are the B8's physically shorter than the standard dampers? I can't even get standard ride height at the minute. I've got a set of 195/50/15 wheels / tyre combo sat on the back, and at the max ride height I can get, the wheels are touching the arch lip it's that low.

Scratching my head a bit as I can't really see what else to do? When I drop the car down it probably settles about 4cm on the suspension with the cars weight. I'm wondering if it's worth dropping the trailing arms further, refitting the torsion bars, and then jacking the trailing arm up slightly to simulate the cars weight and fitting the dampers that way? The only thing thats on my mind there is that basically at full extension / jacked up, the damper is going to be supporting the trailing arm?

I can tell you that the B8's and standard dampners are the same length, compared mine today.

Wouldn't have a clue on the rest though

Standard heigh is 300/305mm between the shock mounting bolts.

Every mm you close that gap, you lower the ride height by

Should be okay fitting them with weight on em, just make sure there's enough down travel on them. or it'll be bouncy.

Have you undone the torsion bars one at a time but not released the arb? If one bar was still in and the arb was connected it would stop it dropping the arm further down.
