Hi guys first time for everything and this time its the coolant system. I suspect i have an issue with my thermostat sensor which is another story but seen as i was replacing that and the coolant hasn't been renewed in 3 years thought now is a good time.
Their a few things im unscrew with the bleeding and filling of the coolant. The draining and flushing seems self explanatory.
1.
after flushing and back flushing, do i need to have all three bleeding points open fully or only a bit and do i put the thermostat back in before filling back up?
2.
For the order in which to seal the bleeders, when the coolant is going in as soon as the first bleeder (radiator) leaks full fluid with no hissing and spitting that means their is no air in that section so close it? then the one on the thermostat housing then on the heater matrix pipe, in that order?
3.
Once the first bleed point is leaking full fluid wont the other bleeders do the same or will they still be spitting air out as the air gets passed through the system?
4.
once all bleed points are done and sealed keep the fill bottle on with coolant overfilled, turn heater to hot but not on and start up engine and keep throttle on fast idle until the fan has kicked in and off three times?
5. Once done all above if their is still excess fluid left in the bottle is it ok to suck out the remaining?
Sorry for all the question dont want to mess it up and what to say i did it myself and learned something but dont want airlocks at the same time lol the saxo is a 2000 reg 1.1 spi engine
Thanks
