how stretched

hi all so i got my self some xsara vtr alloys with huge 195/55/15 tires.

as im planning on going soooooooooo low want to stretch some slimmer and lower profile on but am new to stretching so havnt a clue,,, can someone help


if i have 195's on can i put 165 on and will side wall be smaller etc etc etc

I'm sure you can go pretty low on 195/45's?

You need to do some research in to what each dimension on a tyre means


195 is the diameter across the tyre in mm
45 is the percentage of the width that the side wall is

also how stretched can you go on a wheel

I think it's the falken website that lists what size tyres fit what size wheel

But that's based on there tyres

just use 195 45, anything else is silly and probably expensive.
