View Full Version : In your opinion.. the most elegant car?

Something a little different then.

In your opinion, what is the most elegant car?

I 'think' for me, it's probably the Bentley Continental S2 Coupe.

It might not be the most elegant ever, if I think of anything else, but it's up there, I think it's jaw droppingly good looking.

Amazons look soooo good! There was one for sale near me a year or two ago for about 3k, looked in good condition as well and was gutted I couldn't afford it at the time!

Price of them now, I wish I'd just got a loan out...

I've seen a few go for not *too* much money, ok they needed work but that's part of the fun... everything's mentally expensive now so finding something that doesn't look like a fiat multipla or is totally fucked is quite difficult!

Couldn't agree more man. Now I'm going to be working from home, I'm searching for a useable classic. Currently looking at Rovers, mainly P6s or P4s, and Daimler 250s.

The temptation to save up a bit though and get a Rolls Silver Shadow is VERY strong, especially as it would go well with the business...

I'm also keeping an eye out at similar cars, always wanted something retro & cool, but usable and now I've actually got somewhere to keep it so it's not such a pipe dream.

I was having a browse at these yesterday

one in not quite such good condition but still MOT'd with tax, in a driveable state went for £700 last night... thought that's a bit of a bargain!

A silver shadow would be unbelievably pimping, surely looking at 6k upwards though for a bit of a wreck?

Basically because the early roadster's looked good, but by the S3 they were looking lardy, the coupe's just look awkward, and any sold in America look retarded thanks to american bumper laws.

The early ones and the Eagle Speedster look awesome though :y:

Not sure man, I think you can buy pretty useable ones for between 6 and 7k... I'd love a 5 like that, but since Golfjay bought one I couldn't bring myself to do it.

I know it's based on the E-Type but in my opinion it's prettier - The Eagle Speedster. Simply stunning:
