Im on a real tight budget but i do want some lows. Not silly just around 40mm. Is the yorsion bar the only way of lowering the rear? Cheers.
Ive already heard about the slab in the boot ;)

cheapest way would be cutting springs and leaving it on the oe dampers. for the rear, put some bricks in the boot.
thats the like cheapest, most stingy, shitty and pikey way, but you're lower

This really!
To be honest I'm sure you could find someone to do torsion bars for £100 odd. Then find cheap springs and you could have it lowered for around £150 ish

Ask Dave if you can borrow 2 of his fat birds, one for the front and one for the rear.

I heard about cutting the springs, how does this affect the ride?

dont cut springs its just a pikey way of doing it. A set of second land lowering springs will cost about 30 quid if that.
The rear is pretty much free if you do it yourself and can live with knackering the rear dampers quicker

If you can't afford to lower it with springs / coilovers I woudn't do it at all.

Heat up springs on front and slabs in boot done tell everyone your boots broke and doesn't open cool as.

There's no point as you'd still have to get the torsion bar done. And if you're spending the money doing that, you might aswell buy cheap springs for the front.
