Right, basically every time I go to start my car now it just won't tick over at all.
The ignition works fine, all the lights kick in and I've checked the battery, but as I turn the key fully something appears to 'click' (starter motor?) then nothing happens.

I'm going to book it into a garage this week to have a check over (need new pads/general service anyway), if I can start it up and get there...
If it helps it's just kind of happened out of the blue, first happened last week but prior to that I've had no problems what so ever starting. :n:

I also have a slight oil leak coming from the cam covers, so it's not my best week.

Check and if needed clean up and tighten the earth lead on the battery.

I'll take a browse at that tomorrow :y:

:bump:
Checker over and battery was fine, then tried push starting and bump starting from my Dads car and no luck. Think that just leaves the starter motor.
Are the any places that do a nice price for a starter motor? Not sure if I want to try my luck 2nd hand, and I fear the garage will charger a hefty amount too :n:

Be worth getting your unit reconned. Sure they'll be somewhere local to you which will do it.

Having a recon done on the whole starter motor? Didn't know people did that haha, I'll have a browse now.
Thanks :)

That was a suggestion elsewhere, something like it could be not attaching to the flywheel properly? As I've said many times, I'm mechanically disabled :homme:

Hitting it with a hammer is only a short term fix, usually when the solenoid is fubbered.try eurocarparts for the starter mate.:drink:cheapest on ebay brand new is £30.35,

Not gunna lie I've no fucking clue where it is, so I just left it be

Another bump
Would it possibly start if I pushed it? Have to get it down the Garage in the morning see, and I doubt odds are in my favour of the starter motor working.

You could try but i doubt it'll work, why not ask the garage to come and tow it away for you.:drink:

It's parked in a really awkward place, and the road to my house is steep, covered in potholes, and falling apart :homme:

my starter wasnt connecting with the fly wheel properly, so I cleaned all the connections etc... still wouldnt start, would only start with a bump start... so i changed the whole starter and now....starts first time, everytime :)
