Bought a new car back in Febuary. It's 2007 Citroen C2 VTS. It's got 125bhp and will do 0-60 in just over 8 seconds, so it's a nippy little thing.
I bought the car because I did this to my Saxo...

This wasn't completely my fault. A lady emergency stopped in front of me on a clear dual carriageway in the rain. She won't even admit to breaking - Insurance reckon that it was a scam but never mind, we can't prove anything :(
Never mind, complete write off and it's away. I've been driving 2 years so am sad to see it go. I decided that the new car must be a car that I'll love. I love the driving position and how quick it is for it's size. It's also quite quirky and it's a not a car you'd expect to be all that quick.

It's got 33,000 miles on the clock with full history. It's an awesome little car and feels so much more modern and safe than the Saxo. It's been golden since I've owned it. Completely in love!
So...
Yesterday, I planned to give the car a super nice clean - took all the plates off etc etc. Went to get my drying cloths and then realised my housemates had been using them to dry dinner plates so unfortunately my paint work was misty and smeary! Not a happy boy. I took a cool photo though to show what it'd look like with a smooth front end (it's purposefully blurry to hide the awful smears!)

Then today, I went over to a mates house and we set about sorting out a Lester front DTM style splitter. These supposedly don't fit the standard C2 bumper but in my eyes that's a challenge to be beaten....
There was a lot of laying about thinking (that's me on the floor with my pants on show, trying not to get my hands dirty!) My friend that I went to see is a Japanese car enthusiast so he hadn't experienced the joys of working on a french car - his Integra Type R is a completely different beast to this. We took our time and made sure we planned to get everything perfect.

We then managed to line it up and get it sitting nice. Final test fit before we trimmed down the splitter as it was touching the tyres....

Finally....

Looking so much meaner on the front end! We tinted the fogs too. Looks a lot nicer in my opinion!
Plans are to potentially tint the rear windows as I work for a signage company so we've got tint in stock and work will do it for free. Happy days. Other than that, refurb the wheels and enjoy it! It's in good nick so I think it'll come to some shows this year too.
Let me know what you think.
