Spotted this gem on eBay, 9k is a lot but it's basically a brand new car, not even run in!

The question is, if you had 9K right this second would you buy it or buy a more modern powerfull car?

Haha although I suppose it may be in theory worth that, its only worth what people will pay for it! And I wouldnt say I'd pay 9k for it :P

It's not new, it's from 1997. A lot of stuff will need servicing/replacing, including the marvelous Clarion cassette player. Love the turd polishing description.

That has been up for sale for a few years now.

Always wondered why on the front it has a drilled disc on the n/s and a plain disc on the o/s

"ENGINE & TRANSMISSION

Lifting the bonnet on the 106 reveals the 1587cc Inline 4 engine, that has only done an amazing 4k miles. "

9k and it doesn't even have leathers,

someone must have bought it though as it does say sold, Winder if it went for the full asking price,

would be mad to pay that or a collector with too much money.

This car was sold 2 years ago and the ad is mainly to advertise what these guys specialise in.

Apparently this car is used as a daily now, someone mentioned this on the 106 rallye register.

IMO, it's the last of the superminis without getting to techy. If I had the cash, I'd have it as a second car but wouldn't treat it like a collector. Would much prefer a 106 Rallye S2 in similar condition.

+1 on the S2 Rallye. The things I'd do...

Looks banging, you'd have to be mad to spend 9k on a 106 GTi though. In fact, you'd have to be mad to write an advert like that... is it just me, or has only one side been uprated to drilled disk on the front wheels?

Looks awesome form the pics but i would never spend 9k for it,wondering how many other GTI there are like this or even VTS Saxos.

Pretty sure that car sold a long time ago - that ad is promoting the fact that particular example is sold and they're looking for new stock. Was always a bit of an odd one that car - one side having grooved discs and the other not would irritate my OCD let alone anything else haha

Prefer that for half the price

Too right mate, it's not a VW after all!

Also, I'm seeing bloody Ibiza TDi's sodding everywhere now!

That's solely due to all of Stissys recommendations!

I only recommend the cupra, TDi or petrol though, both are good.
