Gear links rod kit advise needed

Are these all the same for the VTS just different brands. Managed to pick up my new gear selector nylon ball unit and deciding going to do the link rods too as seems to be a fair bit of play so going to do the lot including arm.

What ones are advised to get I have seen the following on ebay however am unsure if their high grade or budget cheap crap.

I've just put a set of these on my car today, I haven't driven it yet or even felt the gear change as the car is part in bits from another job I'm doing (I will report back tomorrow). They look very similar to the OEM ones with the only difference being the cups that sit on the gear leavers on each linkage are smaller than the standard linkages. These are only a put on as I had them lying about unused from my old VTR project, if I was to buy another set of MA linkages I'd go for the thicker ones for peace of mind as they look more solid.

They'll all fit. The linkages are all the same sizes throughout all saxos/106s. I'd stick with some known brands though such as constella

Them quick silver I am thinking of going for however I have yet to see any ones with the rubber seals from picture 1. Where can you get them from on theri own the rubbers to protect from crap getting in it. as in picture one they have rebber seals and the quick silver ones dont.

Anyone know where I can get them on their own or included.

The gear linkages can be a pain in the arse if they are on tight, my last saxo it took me 3 hours to remove them as they were solid, my current saxo they popped off in 10 minutes. Be persistent with the spanners and you should be able to wiggle the gear linkage cup off the gear lever on the box (try different sizes) if not then use a bar to pry them off.

I removed these as they were flimsy, I managed to bend the long rod with one hand so god knows what a harsh gear change could do to these. I went back to the OEM rods for now.

Yours need adjust also, so it stops jumping out of 2nd gear.

will replacing these stop the gear stick tightening up when gear box heats up to normal running temp or am i on totally the wrong track here ? Not sure if its my gear linkage rods or just need gearbox oil topping up/changing

Got me a set of quick silvers the last lot on the pick. Now all I need is time to fit them on. Am just hoping that my original ones are not adjustable.

in hand including rubber seals now all I need to do now is fit hoping that when getting under the car to remove the old ones that they fit.

Was reading your comment about hear slipping from 2nd gear. Am I going to have this problem too and need adjustable on o3 VTS or will work fine. I dont even know if ones on it are adjustable now lol

Yeah they're the same for all models. Takes all of 10mins to swap them over with a correcly sized spanner.

Changed over to quick silvers today. No more play in it also had to tighten the nut abd bolt under the gear stick as found this was lose too. Not by much but now done everything on it and no more gear stick play and much smoother gear changing. Old ones one was fucked and plastic broke on it for covers and one split and another one partly bent rod lol.
