106 GTi, 266mm brakes, new discs on front new pads on rear, when braking heavily the car always steps right, the arse end steps right anyway, like crabs as such, any ideas why? Back end isn't locking up either

Rear bias valve poorly adjusted or seized maybe

I'll try backing off the bias valve and see how it goes, the spring is free, well the screw that goes through the spring is anyway

If you brake heavily without holding the wheel, does it pull one direction?
Obviously cover the wheel ready to grab it. If it goes right, look at the left brake and vice versa.
Missus cat pulled under breaking from speed, quick bleed fixed it!

It's only when braking heavy from high speed or harsh braking, gradual braking is fine it's just when brakes are applied at high pressure but I'm going brands hatch next week and will end up in the kitty litter if it's like this! Even holding the wheel it crabs out sideways

Sounds exactly the same.
Get the brakes bled.
Look at the pads too, probably want changing. Due to uneven braking for a prolonged time one will wear more than the other. Hers had manky floating bits in the fluid from the weaker side.
Bet that's your problem!

The list I did was;
Take apart calipers, clean and grease parts that rub.
Change pads and make sure fitted properly.
Make sure piston moves freely, can tell when pushing back in.
Bleed brakes.
Possibly new caliper.
That's the way I worked on the other halfs, road test between each stage. Hope this helps!

Changes wheels over on weekend to my track ones that have brand new paradas all round and all the poxy wheel nuts was loose!!! Had some balancing issues and clearly wasn't done up properly! Changed to new wheels and tyres and was fine,
One more issue.. Bled vrakes with ATE Super Blue fluid and they was amazing, touch the pedal and the brakes were on point but now it's gone back to a bit of pedal travel and brakes don't feel all so good, like they did before the bleed, pump them then brake heavily and they are spot on? Any ideas why it keeps doing this after bleeding?

Did you compare the remaining material on the brake pads on both sides of the car? If it has been uneven for a while one could have worn considerably more than the other side!

Sounds like you might have a small leak
