In keeping with current pug tradition of kicking me in the balls at every opportunity possible, this morning I had to use it for work, and it's raining, so I got it out the garage, whacked the wipers on and they moved across the screen a grand total of twice before stopping at the bottom of the screen.

Turns out the fuse has blown, so I popped another one in which blew immediately.

I'm guessing it's likely that the motor's seized or something, I'm pretty sure I've got a replacement in the garage so I'll whack it on tonight after an Ace Ventura-esque drive home, but just incase... any common causes for these to blow? As far as I'm aware the wipers are the only thing on that fuse? 9 in the fuse box, 20amp.

It's raining? Sucks to be you, the weather is and has been lovely here for the past week.

I'm off for the first week of August, bet it pisses down.

That's a good point, I'd probably better check I didn't leave tools in the scuttle tray, I am shit like.

What I would probably do if I was you is stop fucking up your car yourself and get someone with brains to look at it.

much love xxx

My AX did it recently, wiper was creaky as fuck so i leaned up and pulled the wiper afm to assist the motor. Freed it up and that was that. As Manu says, take the wiper assembly out and clean it all up.

Both the above are true. Get someone with the slightest bit more mechanical competence than you to look at your wiper pivots/motor. Perhaps a neighbours dog/cat could assist?

Fuck off, you're never 6ft 1 are you?!!?

I thought you were shorter than me?! Were you wearing inverted heels?

I don't even know how tall I am, I think 5ft 11?

Speaking of which, Muz is a tall cunt (well, all round huge cunt tbh) eh. Sat in my rs4 - made it look like a fucking tonka toy. No wonder he needs the extra 100bhp in the M5 to lug him around.

Check the scuttle area for a build up of muck as a lot of crud gets stuck in there & may foul the mechanism. Also http://i.imgur.com/NzSAH9C.jpg
