So I've had a couple of Saxos, an Icelandic grey 16v VTR and a black 8v VTR.

The black one died so I rebuild my Icelandic and then eventually put a 16v in... A week later driving a bit too fast on a corner I crashed it.

Lesson learnt.

I still had the black saxo and was going to put the 16v in that and put it through an MOT as it had no rust at all and a good axle.

Anyways, was browsing the forums and seen this car up for sale for £350 with a knocking engine running on 3 cylinders, standard bar an exhaust and 6x9s.

Paid £330 with tax until January and MOT until may.

Took the risk and drove 150 miles there, paid the lad and had a look at the engine, turns out the spark plug wasn't screwed in on cylinder 4.

Off to a local b&q picked up a 16mm spark plug socket (couldn't find mine)

Screwed back in, started and ran perfect, bargain.

Drove about 130-140miles home, pulled off a roundabout "spiritedly" and it sounded funny and a little down on power, pulled over and spark plug had popped out, turns out it's take the thread out....

So ordered a few bits to repair it for about £10 and should be with me soon.

Here's some pics :-

So the plan :-

As you can see from the last pic the laquer is peeling and the roof is wrapped matte black, I'm possibly going to get this resprayed.

Get it lowered 40-50mm, then get some B8s/Gaz coilovers.

Respray my VTS alloys anthracite and fit

Get a 2" pugsport

Wrap and fit my 4-1 manifold

Fit my omp Corsica steering wheel

Fit omp upper brace

Fit linkages

Get a new lower brace

Strip it

Fit my buckets + harness... Possibly buy new ones.

Full cage.

Set of cams.

Then track it.

Slightly longer term I plan on the following:-

Track alloys and AD08s/R888s
Fully polybush/uprated mounts
Itbs + predator ecu
Satchshift
Polycarb/Perspex windows

Make it a weekend/balls out track car.

This is more of a thread to follow my own progress but will be interested to see what others think.

It could be mint.

Mind the laquar peel will require repainting. You could probs get away with just getting that small section blown over though.

330 quid for a tax and tested car of any variety is pretty good going let alone a black 106 gti.
Shame about the spark plug though but a helicoil or timesert will sort that out

Don't forget a non sunroof gti lol body work could be a touch better but I'm over the moon with what I paid! Ordered a timesert kinda thing for it, but the tap to make it fit is oversized 14mm but the head to screw it needs a 21mm socket which doesn't fit down the port to retap it! So I'm unsure what to do.

If I had the chance I'd go back and get a GTI, they do look so much better than Saxo's.

It'll be getting a good clean this weekend, I'll also be checking axle and for rust although I'm 95% sure there isn't any!

Small update, my dad retapped and threaded the head today, so it's running and safe to say it pulls rather well.

Debating wether to lower soon or wait a while longer until I can get me some gaz coilovers

Wait on the Gaz Coilovers. Mickswan runs them and never has a bad thing to say about them.

Either those or B8's and Faulkners. Especially as you mention you want to use it for track use.

Think I will wait tbh, I don't fancy B8s because some have said they are too soft for track, and I only do 7 miles a day so comfort isn't an issue for me really.

Gave it a quick clean and have enquired about bonnet/roof/wing respray to get rid of lacquer peel.

Hopefully I'll get time to give it a polish on the weekend

josh11490
7th October 2014, 19:18
So then an update:-

I drove to maccies the other day, raced a cammed furio, guess who won?

I joke, but I didn't have a play with an insignia Sri estate on the way home the other evening, was fun.

No update as such, I have bought baker bm grp n engine mounts for ecu side and top of gearbox.

Payday will bring a 2" pugsport and polybushed lower mount as mines gone and annoying me.

Hopefully over next few weeks I'll have something decent to update this with.

josh11490
20th October 2014, 19:02
Picked up a 2" pugsport yesterday, just awaiting some powerflex hangars and some heatwrap to make the mani look a bit better.

Suspension next and a new rad as current one doesn't look in best shape.

josh11490
27th November 2014, 12:55
So then, a little has happened not much.

I had the roof resprayed

http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/11/27/eabce5ac293d97acd5d54a3530c345ed.jpg

It's not the best job it has a run in it but for what I paid in happy.

Whilst cleaning it the other day this also happened

http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/11/27/0676a8e033ac55446aca8c876bf8401c.jpg

No on to blame but myself, will be getting a new bumper and getting sprayed along with my bonnet in the new year, I may have found a rear bumper but just waiting to see if the seller will post.

Parts wise, my pugsport is shit, the silencer has gone and rattles like fuck, so I'm swapping it for a supersprint on Sunday with £50 their way. Not too bad.

I have how ever received the following parts:-

Gaz front coilovers.

http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/11/27/cfe57d84767bc7767e3ca3d2f0020199.jpg

Team dynamic pro race 1.2s, will be getting a refurb with fresh rubber.

http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/11/27/33fb0aed52ba0e60196ebf63cba0745e.jpg

And this lower powerflex black edition mount, to go with the 2 upper baker bm solid mounts I have.
http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/11/27/c2c28f5b6cf04350450a7bb1d3f1dba7.jpg

When I come to fit my 4-1 it didn't fit as when I crashed my saxo I bent it, no issues it cost me £40 so I'll look for another.

Not much will be happening with the car now, until the new year, Santa is hopefully bringing me rear gaz shocks, and a new bucket seat.

The new year it'll also be getting the suspension fitted, gaz all round, full polybush kit and new drop links etc, will also fit my 266mm brakes, just need to get braided lines.

I'm hoping to get this car to a semi decent track spec, I'm concentrating on handling and stopping, and the breathing mods, once this is done I'll be sorting interior with 2 buckets 3" harnesses and a half cage, a half cage because it's still a daily and looking at the safety devices one, I can upgrade to a full cage at a later date. I also want a satchshift, once this has been done it'll be getting treated to some engine work, new belts, 748s, head skim, port and polish and possibly lightened fly wheel, but I want as much track time as possible.

If I decide to keep the car after next year it'll be a second car and I'll start an ITB build.

Basically. Nothing has happened apart from its now on my old VTS wheels with toyo T1Rs all around.

It's driving well tbh, no issues as of yet.

Tax needs doing in January, also hopefully I'll be sorting a new exhaust and manifold as The deal
Didn't follow through on the supersprint.

January should be the start of regular updates as I want this car on track at french car show and then on track as much as I can afford after that.

Slight update :-

I've found a supersprint exhaust with centre silencer for sale, which I'll be paying for payday, so hopefully I'll find a manifold and gaz rear shocks ready for payday as well.

Within the next month it should be low and a bit louder.

Also gonna respray my pro race 1.2s gloss black as well, so I'm gonna do that bit by bit over the next month or so as well.

I got a quote yesterday from a local bodyshop which was reasonable, for the bonnet and wing to be sprayed and the rear bumper to be repaired and resprayed. Oh also to have aero catches cut into the bonnet.

Things should start coming together over the next 2/3 months. Can't wait.

SimpleJoee

Things will pick up for you too, knowing my luck, something will pop up to stop me

josh11490
15th January 2015, 22:07
So then.

Today is payday, I have paid for a supersprint system with centre silencer to pass track sound testing and also bought Jigs 4-2-1 heatwrapped raceland manifold, I don't know yet wether or not I'll leave the heat wrap on or not.

I've also got money to one side for some gaz rear shocks but I'm keeping an eye out for some second hand ones to pop up within the next week or so before I buy new.

Car is also booked in for 16th February for the panels to be resprayed, all I need to do now is to order my aerocatches.

The car did how ever let me down last weekend and my alternator went on me, so I am picking a new one up Sunday.

josh11490
21st January 2015, 17:59
Recieved my supersprint exhaust system yesterday, along with powerflex mount.

Hopefully will receive my 4-2-1 and genuine aerocatches soon, fingers crossed I'll order gaz rears on weekend too.

Also I'm considering getting my front bumper resprayed at the same as the rest...

josh11490
10th February 2015, 21:13
So then, keeping this upto date more for myself, so that I can see where the car will have come from.

Fitted my supersprint manifold back system with silencer, it's pretty quiet.

I received my 4-2-1 and it was cracked, but been repaired and this will be fitted on the coming weekend along with rear gearbox powerflex black series mount.

My aero catches arrived and I also ordered my gaz rear shocks which have arrived.

http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/15/02/10/211a681a901bd26583a096cf28364aa3.jpg

http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/15/02/10/91d2883e5b4166c9de93d2440007da05.jpg

Anyways, previous weekend I decided to try and lower the rear, im the offset washer was seized in place on the one side, no problem I thought, I'll make a start on other side and let this soak in WD40.
The bolt had rounded on the other side and couldn't get it off for love nor money, but also realised there was some play in the axle.

So a few phone calls later I'm travelling 120miles down to Dorset on Friday morning to pick up a full reconditioned axle and will fit that sunday and also lower it, to go with this ive ordered some floflex rear axle polybushes, money is tight and I couldn't justify £80 for the powerflex black edition ones when these were £37 delivered.

So fingers crossed this weekend I will get the axle on and fitted along with rear gaz gha adjustable shocks.
Get my raceland 4-2-1 on
Fit my powerflex rear gearbox mount
Fit my front gaz gha coilovers
And fit my 266mm brakes which were on my saxo

Then on Monday it's going away for a few days to get the rear bumper, bonnet and passenger wing sprayed, I'm tempted to get the front bumper done too whilst I'm at it.

But apparently I'm getting a nice little bonus from work on payday, and I have been tempted by a set of catcam 743s for a very decent price. And the cambelt needs doing so 2 birds with one stone?

Anyways I would like opinions on how low to run the car?
I'm liked 50mm on my saxo, but I believe when I get semi slicks and being a 50 profile tyre it will rub at this height?

If you've read this far, thank you very much lol

Oh yeah...
My new toy is a lifesaver.

Had my aerocatches fitted, love the look of the front, just need carbon fog inserts, smoked lights/morettes and clean number plate.

Next Sunday I do the 8 hour round trip to collect my new engine, and that will be fitted over Easter, I'll be fitting my 266mm calipers at the same time.

Before french car show Id like to get a new bucket seat and harness for driver and possibly a set of semi slicks on my pro race 1.2s that I'm going to rattle can spray myself over the next month or two.

Then after that all that will happen will be a satchshift and cage and get used on track for the rest of the year... Fingers crossed.

So on Friday just gone, me and my old man set about removing the old tired leaky engine.

Everything went ahead straight forward, no issues at all, removed that, removed box/clutch/flywheel to put into the new engine.

http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/15/04/06/826dccbc1a2fdf264f8b6d6ad5be074a.jpg

Also fitted my powerflex black series lower mount

http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/15/04/06/7976b3c93c876dedff47c37456994f81.jpg

And then I forgot to take more pictures, so I'll grab some of the new engine in later.

The car drives so much better now, pulls a lot harder, accelerates a lot better and seems much faster in general.

The only issue I had was because the jp4s pulleys aren't adjustable at all the cams are on standard timing, so when slowing down fast it would cut out, now this was annoying and especially when I went to pick up a mate the other day at a packed shopping centre kinda place and the only way I could keep the car running was to rev it.

I will be fitting a 3.5bar fpr soon to try and help this but I have also adjusted the idle, so it now idles a little higher and seems to have stopped the stalling.

Also here's a quick vid of the idle:-

Apparently llandow don't sound test all the time, but I am a bit worried about that so may out my silenced centre back on for the day just incase, it is noticeably louder now with the cammed engine. Although it does sound pretty awesome on full chat and engine braking just gives loads of pops and a few bangs too, and we all know everyone loves pops and bangs.

I'll get the gopro out later perhaps and see if I can get a bit better video of it.

Also Thursday night I picked up some cobra imola 2s for a bargain price of £70, they weigh next to nothing being fibreglass, but I do need to go on a diet as they are a tight fit, those who have met me know I'm not small 😂

Last night, after a spirited drive, chasing and beating some sales rep in his Audi A4, I parked up in asda, went to pick some beers up, got back in car and wouldn't start, thiught hmm it's the cams playing funny fuckers again, tried again give it gas and were away, drive off and it started spluttering and died and I couldn't get it going.

Hour later my dad comes to the rescue with a spare coil pack and it starts lol

Next up is satchshift, AD08s to go on my pro race 1.2s and another track day booked.

Picked up some heko wind deflectors today for £10 so pretty happy there, no pics, you all know what they look like.

Also ordered a new boot badge and rocker cover badge, and stainless bolts for the jp4 covers, should look a little smarter, also ordered some sand paper because I keep forgetting it when I'm in B&Q, will be respraying both sets of alloys and my strut brace over the next few weeks.

No progress on this except I have ordered some Toyo R888s and will be ordering a satchshift, car comes off the road tomorrow for some work and MOT before french car show where it sees track time.

But I am also picking up a Black Gold Clio 182 tomorrow as my daily workhorse, lowered in coilovers with miltek exhaust and decat, should be a nice little car, if the 106 isn't where I want it to be fore french car show this will see the show and possibly track time... Lol daily...

Will update with pics, may use this thread to follow the progress off the 182 as well? Depends if people are interested, nothing major just cosmetic and maintain it well.

Loving it tbh, it's like a grown up faster 106.

The 106 is now a pure track slag, work will start on it soon, it won't be at French car show, gonna get some work done on it and it'll be out next for a track day in July.

Clio won't be having much done to it.

It's on coilovers which I'm yet to find out which, if they are cheap shit ones they'll be changed.
It has a miltek exhaust and decat
Wind deflectors
Pressed plates
Polybushed dogbone mounts

I'm gonna get rear bumper resprayed, get some spacers, wet sand and polish up the headlights, and buy some carbon trims and just maintain it, if I do too much the 106 wouldn't get used.

josh11490

http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05/08/f83406bd80fe9327bc00c897f0277208.jpg

Should smarten it up a little, it's not going to be at French car show, it needs a little welding done, tyres fitted, a new driveshaft and a new radiator, so gonna do this over the next month or so and then I'll book a track day at a llandow for July and then fingers crossed one for August and September as well.

Not much else will be happening with the 106 now, not until atleast winter, it'll be getting used and abused around a track.

josh11490

Seems not many are interested in my thread :n:

This weekend works will be starting on the GTi, It will be having the satchshift fitted, Along with spacers and stud nut conversion.

I have ordered a new radiator just an oem replacement because mine has seen better days, ordered some ATE Superblue brake fluid as well, As on my last trackway my brakes were a little spongey, So thought I may as well run fresh fluid through along when bleeding, Possibly going to order braided lines as well.

Following weekend I will be fitting a new driveshaft and my old man will be welding up a small hole under the ECU, We will cut out the rust and weld a plate in, Its not huge and wouldn't fail the MOT but its best to catch it before it gets much worse.

MOT is booked for 1st July, Im confident it will pass.

Gti looks brilliant mate and heading in the right direction.

Ive noticed you have fitted gaz coilovers, im also fitting my gaz coilovers this weekend

When you did yours, how hard was it to get the spring pans off the strut? did you have to grind/cut them or can you knock them off with a big hammer?

Anything i should look out for when i build them up? also will i need a spring compressor tool to fit the gaz springs? i have asked on here and they say i dont need to use the tool to fit them but would be nice if you could confirm this.

Cheers.

Cheers mate.

The spring pan from what i remember we just hit of the strut with a hammer, Wasn't too difficult, Some also say you need to grind the lugs down to fit the threaded collar, But I didn't need to the collar slipped over with some gentle persuasion.

From what i remember the only time we used the spring clamps was to remove the old springs from the strut.

So Clio seems to be sorted, when I go to work in morning that will tell me lol.

But I got bored and started browsing eBay and come off £100 worse... Again.

I have ordered a driveshaft, side mounts for bucket seats and bolts. Also not sure if I mentioned I bought some omp subframes on Saturday. So come the weekend I may test for on my seats, which I'm probably gonna have to sell because I'm a fat bastard.

Carpet has come out too, next weekend I'll be fitting a rad, spacers, 1.2s with R888s, resprayed front badge, manifold, bucket seats and harnesses and then it should be ready for MOT.

Absolutely buzzing for the next track day.

josh11490
30th June 2015, 21:18
So everything has been fitted and the MOT is at 8:30am. Fingers crossed.

My landlady has now told me to get rid of the car and to stop working on it on the drive, so if it does fail I'll have no where to fix it for the time being. But we are looking to move shortly to a place with a garage etc.

Llandow a week Saturday, can't wait to see how the car is on a set of decent tyres.

Few pictures from the weekend.

1.2s fitted with 20mm spacers and stud nut conversion, not fitted centre caps yet.

But I drive the car yesterday for the first with satchshift, brilliant bit of kit, on Saturday I'll take it for a proper drive. Might take the go pro.

You heard wrong ;)

Track day was really good yesterday, only issue I had was when my rear inner arch caught my tyre and come off, quickly back into pits, wheel off, ripped it out and back on track I went haha!

Decent tyres make an unbelievable amount of difference, the R888s are insane compared to the last day I did on road tyres.

Few pics below, unfortunately the gopro batteries both died, which is really annoying as I only got 2/3 videos, and none in the afternoon when I was doing well, I am looking into other options, bars wiring it/aftermarket batteries etc.

I've seen 172cups rising in price, but I think you're right, prices have levelled out for clios now, other than the high milage examples which are obviously cheaper and cheaper...

I don't think I'll regret buying my 182, fantastic cars for the money and me and Josh both had plenty of mods with the cars too. You can pick up a wicked 172 for around the £1500 mark nowadays, and £2500 will get you a mint 182.
Good thing about the FF BG's, they hold their value ridiculously, high milers go for just under £2k all day.

I paid £112 a month for my VTS, paid £730 annually for the clio so not sure how it would work out monthly with the APR added to it. From brief memory of quotes in the past, the Clio doesn't work out much more expensive.

Getting bored of not being able to fiddle with this, can't even clean it or anything at the moment.

August 15th I will be moving house and I will be able to bring it home around August 20th where it'll be insured until mid September which conveniently is when I'm going to book castle Combe for a track day before it comes off the road for more toys, it needs a climbing frame, new harnesses and braided brake lines over winter whilst I start getting bits together for ITBs.

Just a quick question... how do you find the R888's compared to the T1R's? I've just done a few sessions at Lydden and put a fair amount of wear on my T1R's. Also found they took a fair old while to warm up and give some decent grip so just wondering if you'd recommend them at all? :)

I can personally vouch the difference in the two tyres. There is genuinely a fair bit of noticeable difference between the two, the R888's are just superior (have been a passenger with Josh on both sets of rubber).

R888s are so much better than T1rs, can Corey more speed through the corners and feels much much better driving them.

T1Rs id personally not buy again, anything other than perfectly dry conditions they are scary.

I've not used them in the wet, I don't use the car on the road very often at all, and only done the 1 track day on them.

Yeah T1Rs are nothing short of terrifying lol.

You do indeed matey! I've got the exact crystals that's in that link so they're clearer but I've just put a bit of a filter on there so it's easier to see in real life. I love them cheers - both on the standards and morettes lol. I need to put the carbon rallye vents in as well - it looks a bit odd with the spot lights untaped and the lenses taped... They do finish the car off nicely IMO mate... my only worry is that it won't quite work with the satin black 205 GTi Speedlines and satin black morettes as they've been clear lacquered direct from Streamline so we shall see lol.

Yeah man I've always wanted one and since I've got a few quid in the bank it's a case of 'now or never' so even if I lose a few quid on the car, I'll keep it a few years an then sell it when I'm ready to move out and get my own place.

106 will come out to track and will be kept road legal so I can play with it but that's about it tbh. Impreza is going to be the pampered queen (not that the 106 won't be looked after!) :A:

Well if you dislike them send me a PM and I'll possibly take them off your hands!

I know what you mean, my daily is a Clio 182, it's only a Clio but I feel bad driving it hard, it's. I've having the 106 just to abuse, annoying I can't insure both at same time for a reasonable price!

Haha I'll bear it mind matey!

Ahh yeah I've seen it on here - looks good! My current daily is a Juke derv with a red interior at the moment... living the dream! haha. It's alright tbf, comfy and economical as anything compared to the 106. The Impreza will be ~£700 to insure and the 106 is ~£300 all mods declared so not too shabby.

The Juke is a company car so I'm lucky as all I need to do is fuel it and then we change them every 6 months or so, so I'm fortunate in that respect on the daily economics front!

Ah fair enough! Can't wait for my insurance to drop down to that much! Haha

Yeah the Clio isn't too bad in fuel 28-32mpg mostly, but still fun when I want it to be and have t got the GTi out lol!

We've all been there matey I wouldn't worry... my first year was £1,500 and it pretty much bankrupt me - don't regret it though!

To be fair I only do a maximum of 3k in the 106 per year as it's away for ~6 months ago and last year I did ~700 miles down to Le Mans and back in a week so that brings the insurance down a bit. I do 300 miles a week in the daily though so again I'm lucky I don't have to pay for insurance on that... I do pay company car tax though tbf! :n:

Cars still not home, But I've got the battery off it and on charge so over the coming weeks I will have it back on the drive.

I did have Castle Combe booked for this tuesday coming but decided against it but instead I will be buying a safety devices roll cage and possibly booking another track day at llandow to see the year out.

Once the GTi has finished for the year I will fit the roll cage, And then start looking into standalone management, Not sure yet wether to go for Omex 600 or DTA D40, Swinging towards the Omex at the moment.

Then in the new year I will also be looking into throttle bodies, I have been told that Satchell engineering are working on a new set, So fingers crossed they will be around when I want to purchase some.

I was starting to lose interest in this car, And was thinking of getting rid and going back to one car, Which would've also meant selling the clio and buying something along the lines of a Megane 225.

But driving the 106 is so much fun, Parts are cheap and I think if I dont own a decent spec GTi on itbs I would sort of regret it... And I still live at home, So fuck it. Its only money.

Hopefully next year it will see a lot more track action, Be on itbs and generally awesome.

Possibly will also insure it for the year and have it along side my clio so i can take it on more blasts around the Brecon Beacons.

Trackday last saturday went extremely well.

Here's a pic from the track photographer.

http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/10/24/330c834461e5d9378b891db43dcc1768.jpg

Plans are now to take the seats and harnesses etc out, finish of stripping the remainder of what's left, remove sound deadening from behind dash, remove tar in footwells and clean and Hammerite it black so the interior looks ok.

Then I'll remove fuel tank, rear bumper and wheels and wash down, wire brush and under seal.

Then there is a tiny bit of rust to sort under ecu which will be cut out and a plate welded in, this will be painted and both front inner arches undersealed.

Then the cage will be fitted which I'm dreading fitting but can't wait to see in.

Then nothing much else other than saving for throttle bodies and everything else.

Seen your pics on here and Instagram buddy and looks like it was a good'un! I was going to do a day down a Lydden Hill today but was shattered from work so wussed out at the last minute :(

Do love the black on black look on this as well - I know I'm biased but morettes would finish this beast off nicely! ;)

Cheers dude!

I will be getting morettes and Carbon rallye vents and wing mirrors at some point.

Concentrating on cage and then itbs before anything else though and just odd jobs like undersealing and painting the interior floor

When you 16v'ing yours? Got the seat in yet?

No worries matey!

Good man! I've gone for the satin black/silver look so I'm still not sure whether my gloss vents are going to go with things... problem is once they're sealed in, that's that!

Fair play man... I need to have a good look over mine to see the state of play with the shell although she's just flown through her MOT no problems so she's fairly solid!

Will be next year now matey... going to do a day at Brands Hatch and then probably take her off the road for a bit over winter. I'm on the lookout for an engine but not found a decent JP4/S yet so will hold out for a low miler. Am I right in thinking you've got a JP4S in yours? I know that engine pretty well if it's the one I'm thinking lol.

Haven't got the seat in yet but just need the side mounts and I'll crack the whip so my mate can do it haha.

Can always sell them to me on the cheap like 😉

Yeah I've got a jp4s with 705s so much stronger than the 110k miler j4 that I pulled out! How do you know this engine well? I bought it off Ben Dowler from Kent way, had it in his Cherry GTi.

Still waiting for my cage, Cant come soon enough so I can make a start on getting it fitted.

Don't think I've mentioned it in this thread (I've got a couple of progress threads on a couple of forums for this car)

I have actually now got this insured permanently alongside my daily Clio 182, For a very reasonable price for my age, The car will be having an agreed value on it when the cage is fitted, And my new insurers also offer track day insurance, So basically what ever happens to the car, If anything does happen that is, I'm not going to be £3/4k out of pocket.

Great for piece of mind, As its a track car there is a good chance of a visit to the tyre wall on track.

But it also means it will be getting used a little more, Although I don't like using it on the road much as its loud/uncomfy and obnoxious, I also can't drive it sensibly.

But hopefully my next update will involve pictures of the cage.

Need 2 new harnesses so I can utilise the harness bars also...

He's binned it.

Was driving down the lanes and he misjudged the width of the road, his passenger wheel came off the road and pulled him down a slight banking, the angle of the banking meant he ended up on his roof again.

Not really, he's got a cage being ordered very soon

Safety Devices I think, albeit slightly late given his previous experience with putting cars on their roofs.
