totally depends on your insurance policy. best thing to do is to ring them up and ask unless you want to read through all the small print

Thanks ever so much for all the advise guys much appreciated.

A little update and maybe something for future reference, tpft insurance doesn't cover "windows" only windscreens with a £50 excess.
Anyhow Autoglass: "Yes Mr. Jones we can have someone supply and fit this for you for £385 plus VAT, would you like us to book you in?"

No thank you love,
Phoned a local company who specialise in window replacement and chip repairs £105 inc. vat fitted round here at 8am tommrow, could have come today but didn't have any drivers in my area and I didn't fancy a trip up to Cryodon with no rear window not worth the hassle of waitng one night.

How to Autoglass manage to charge so much and still be one of the leading services?

Nice one mate. Theres one main reason why they do and thats because of old people. The old people you see driving arounf in CTRs at 25 in a forty. Because Autoglass are well known and have brand loyalty, and amonst large companies have a monopoly, they can charge extornsionate prices because old folks are happy to wither away money for extra sense of security. Stupid bastards

It's disgusting really that one phone call is the diffrence between £200 odd quid Autoglass is a household name and they're using that to their full advantage to take the piss in regards to price, they can't argue it's down to quality either as its all down to luck you could get a bloke whose still hung over from Friday night fit the thing upside down and still want £300 etc..

I know. Like i situation im having, fitting a suspension kit i bought a few weeks back. The only garage that have even given me a quote asked 320 quid because it takes 7 hours apparently. A mate of a mate will do it for 20 quid, but it will void my warranty. Fucking gay it is

Sounds like a mare of a situation mate, what you going to do?

Personally to me a warrenty isn't worth the paper it's written on they can always try and wriggle out of paying for something classing it as wear and tear.

Possibly get your mates mate to sort you out and if you do ever encouter any probs slip him another score to revert it?

Yeah def an idea. I know that i will chop my cohones off and feed them to the dog before i pay 320 quid for fitting some tubes and springs. Have a holiday to America to save for now too though. Life is hard lol
