Anyone recommend an insurance company for:

Age: 19
Just crashed car, getting new one
Driving for 3 months
Looking at fully comp
Allows mods
I will probably get a Furio again but I am tempted to get a VTR. Will see.

Cheers all, time to take some more pain killers me thinks.

actually fully comp is quite expensive, but third party is cheap as chips in comparison to everywhere else, also they dont increase ur premium for cosmetic mods atal - they are a god send!

Im 18 in 5 days and ive been quoted 1800 third party on a vtr, and ive got a claim, ive rang countless insurance companies and most either say ring back when your 21 with 3 years no claims or they quote me about 3000

Hope they give u a good qoute

QUINN DIRECT are shit hot mate. they werent the cheapest for me (not far off tho) but as they dont charge for cosmetics mods it was worth paying the little xtra and going with them. as the cheaper company wouldnt insure me with any mods. lol so it was either dont tell um or pay a little xtra

Adrian Flux can't insure me for some reason however Quin Direct who seem pretty damn good in terms of modding have said my insurance will be £3,245.00 on a Furio and £3,736.00 on a VTR.

Not good at all. If I get a shitty little run around car I can afford the insurance but I want my Furio back, or a VTR. Typical isn't it. £5,000 to spend and I have to fork out most of it on Insurance.

Really don't want to risk it.

Just got quoted on a VTR for £1,800.00 for 6 months and then 20% discount for the next 12 months if I don't make a claim. Plus something like a 10% discount if I don't make a claim.

Certain mods like lowering 30mm are free -- so if I lower 30mm and get larger alloys the premium will not increase.

When I bought my Saxo I was 19, had a write off to my name, Saxo was only 6 months old. Got it fully comp for £1100 with Elephant and they have covered all of the mods I've done to the car since.

How long had you been driving when you:

1. Wrote off your car?
2. Got insurance with Elephant?
