View Full Version : My Driving Experience..VIDEO PG1

For my 18th birthday (in January 2006) I got a driving experience from my Aunty.
Today, I finally went to Elvington in York and took it..AMAZING!
I got to drive a Subaru Impreza WRX and go in a Dax Rush (Basically a Caterham 7) as a passenger where they travel at 100mph and then just throw it it into a corner.
Anyways, the Subaru ain't a normal standard UK version. This one has been imported, all stripped out, competition bucket seats, roll cage, NO ABS, bigger brakes and uprated suspension. The imported cars have 260hp as standard, but this one had been tuned by prodrive so the stats were pretty much outstanding.
2 Litre Turbo, 300BHP, 4WD, 0-60 in 4.9 seconds and Top Speed of 151mph. The turbo didn't kick in till 3,500rpm, but when it did it bloody went...
For another £25, I had the chance to drive a Ferrari so obviously you don't refuse that.
Heres the pictures and can anyone tell me what Ferrari it is?

My Dad is currently putting the video together, so I will host that later.
I now want a Turbo or Supercharged VTR. Hehe.
Comments welcome..

Haha, don't be saying that Alex. It was a Ferrari, i managed about 120 on the straight.
Graeme - It was at Elvington, York. It's a company called Vision Motorsports, maybe do a search for them.
The images I had to re-scale because camera had taken them at 2500 x 1400 which was 2.5mb per image.

Yatesy - I think it cost £60 for the 2 seater passenger side and to drive the Subaru Impreza. I got offered to drive the Ferrari when I got there, that was £25 extra. Best to google Vision Motorsport mate, not sure about the Evo.

saxodan, if you cant tell the difference between a genuine italian motor car and a kitted jap, you need glasses mate there nothing alike. Well it fits in a normal parking space its jap toy (MR2), but when you need two its a monster...
theres loads of differences between the two........ check the rover exhaust back box they use on mr2's that the first wrong move wankers
Luke

Looks like a good day Luke, how much was it for the whole thing? How long did you get in each car?
The whole thing cost £60. For that I got 10 minutes in the Dax Rush and 10 minutes in the Subaru.
The Ferrari drive was offered to me on the day, that was £25. You only got 5 minutes in that though, but at the end of the day how many people can say they have driven a Ferrari?
Clouds_mate
