ssc is the first site it ried.. i did all the registration stuff (for normal posting..) and i never got the confo emaill.. so fuck 'em lol. came here :)

Well when i go to register it says it cost 20 quid!

Click on "Forum" and then click "Register".

Sounds like you are clicking on "Join". You have to pay to join.
