Hi all,
I have trawled through hours of threads on coilover conversions, but can't see a definate answer, so can anyone tell me if the Rally Designs conversion kit is a straight fit with the standard top mount?
Also, I have Bilstein group N's (Blue cap), so what spring free length do I need.
Car is a VTS being used for tarmac rally, so fitting 225lb springs.
Cheers

You will need solid top mounts (http://www.kamracing.co.uk/car-tuning/citroen/citroen-saxo/saxo-suspension/bushes-mounts/citroen-saxo-kam-racing-solid-top-mount-set.html) for the rally design kit

That's an interesting read - thanks.
So, Kev, if I fit your solid top mount with the Rally Design kit, will I need to modify it to fit with the Bilstein Grp N's or is it a straight fit?
Does this sound right for my use as a starting point??
7" 2.5 spring 200lb
4" 2.5 helper spring 40lb
Cheers

I've never seen the Rally design kit but I dont see why there would be an issue.

I run a similar setup, you need to machine the top spring pan that you get from Rally Design.

Have you got standard top mounts or have you got solid ones?

I used the rally design components when I made mine. I use the 10.5 springs @ 200lb. All I had to do is drill out the top seat to fit over the damper and all fitted well.

Compbrake topmounts with Bilstien Gpr N dampners. The hole in the top spring pan was only 10mm (off the top of my head)

Are you using a solid top mount because you have to with grp n's?
What do you use your car for?

Mainly trackdays and taking the dog for a walk :)
I dont think you have to use the Solid top with Gpn's but someone with more knowledge might be able to tell you otherwise.
