View Full Version : Fuel Gauge Always Full?

Hi All,

I got a VTR back in december and one of the faults was the fuel gauge wasn't working (Would wipe up and down 3 times).

I've only just got around to having a closer look at it; i've bridged the 2 Green/Yellow wires and now the gauge works but it says the tank is always full.

I had a look around the net and found someone had fixed the same issue by tightening the 13mm earth point by the driver's door, but mine is nice and tight.

Does anyone have any ideas on what the problem could be?

Faulty fuel gauge or sender.

I've done 100 miles since i last filled up, i think it would have gone down at least 1/4 of the way by now.

Maybe need adjustment... If fuel low must turn on warning light, if not i think sensor fault.
