Hi guys,

Hopefully this is the best place to post this thread.

Im after pictures of a 2.5" back box fitted on a Saxo vtr. I personally feel 3" looks a touch too big for my liking and a 2" is a little too small! So a 2.5" is a good compromise I think!

I'll be buying a Sportex 2.5" silencer for around £90 new. I know there are better branded silencers about, but I am set on getting a sportex as I have had a great experience with them (lots of my mates have them and they sit nice).

So any pictures of 2.5" pipes fitted??

Many thanks

Daniel

chav in my area has one, sounds stupid as fuck as I have had more distinguished sounding farts. Guess it's a matter of opinion, but magnex.

Anyway, baker had one:

Heres a couple of pics of my sportex to get an idea..

What actually is the main difference between the sounding of 2.5" - 4"? Cause everyone despises the sound of the smaller output but I dont actually recall or have experience with the difference in the two? Nooby in the department. As I was going to go down to 2.5ish for performance but was hailed not to due to sound

You've got it the wrong way round. The smaller sound better. The 4" ones just sound like a fart cannon.

So this is where the contradiction comes. All own opinion of course but was wondering from someone who isnt biased lol. Guess im gonna have to look out for 2.5s lol

I wouldve thought that the smaller would sound less "chavvy" and more quiet. But everyone says the smaller sound really "chavvy" /are for chavs? Confusing

Who have you been speaking to? It's personal opinion at the end of the day. Smaller exits generally sound more raspy/buzzy whereas the big jap can style boxes are deeper and more droney.

That's just info I've seen dotted over saxperience tbh!

I've gone out and purchased a 2" supersprint! :)

The smaller ones sound nicer and look much better.

Big exhausts are very 90's/early 2000's Max Power Samuel, not my cup of tea!
