My heater has started playing up and at low speeds, tends to be below 40ish, the heater blows just cold air even when on Max heat, then as I speed up, give it a minute or 2 and it'll blow nice warm air again!
Head gasket and water pump was done a year ago so can't really be that.
Also no set carpets so not heater matrix, maybe it is?
Helpppp it's really annoying :homme:

could still be duff, try it in a pan of boiling water before spending any money. As you've said the water pump is good it sounds like its going a bit cold at idle due to the open stat then once you get the pump speed up a bit warm coolant can flow into the matrix again and you get heat

You can tell if its stuck open. Do the hot water test to see if its stuck closed

Most likely an air lock
