So looking to get an afer market Gauge as a backup for my saxo. Is their any good digital ones to read what is left in tank and more actuate than the standard one telling you what is actually left in car.
Also how are they for installing and working what work is required to do this. Is it matter of getting new gauge splicing into wire or adding wires to unit for other gauge and using that?

An aftermarket gauge will only be as accurate as the sender in the tank. So unless you get a new tank and/or custom pump/level sensor I don't see why you'd want to do this.
When I ran my custom race technology dash I had to add the standard VDO fuel level sensor in as a setting and manually calibrate it. It wasn't especially easy. Or any more accurate.
What's your objective? In all the years I've been on here I don't recall anyone ever saying they weren't happy with the standard gauges accuracy.

Well considering mine is not working at the moment had a new sender unit on it installed and still not working was considering replacing all standard and going all digital and after market clocks dials etc or to use something as temp untill I find a GTi clock with around same mileage on mine or have set to right milage as old clocks. mine right now lights reserve light up goes out plays ping pong going up n down n sits back on empty with no light on.

Sounds like s bad sender earth. Earth it near the tank and see if that helps.
