View Full Version : What shape is a VTR's standard air filter?

sorry for stupid question, but wasn't sure if the standard/original air filter for a mk 2 vtr is supposed to be a long thin, square, or cylinder shaped one. thanks :)

'J' shaped pipe with a flex in the middle linked up to the air box which is hooked up from the fan area to the throttle body if i remember correctly.

If it's the 3 plug silver top engine it should have a square filter with the original air box.

Two different ones for the mk2!
Pre 2001 90 bhp has a filter that looks like a toilet roll!
Post 2001 98 bhp has a flat panel.

thanks, I was probably a little vague I meant what shape/type the actual filter was not what the whole setup was but thanks to everyone nonetheless :) i'm thinking its the square shape as its a 2002 :)

thats what mine is, the square shape lol.. cheap as chips..
