True story about someone in my mates area.

They were waiting for their provisional to arrive and decided to go for a spin around the block in their new polo for a bit, up the high street etc. then a minute or two into the journey, they got pulled over by the police because they didn't have their lights on (unintentional error) and were banned from driving for a year. lol :D: What a naughty boy!:D:

Mind u that lad is unlucky also although its ALL his fault. I got pulled in a Xr2 years back and i had no lisence or no tax or anything, i said id just picked it up and was driving it home and said yes i have a lisence and got away with it. again not proud but if u appear confident and not nervos u can pretty much get away with the minor stuff

i drove round on my motorbike and dads company cars he used to bring home, moms car, mates cars, allsorts from when i was 14 without a licence, not sumthing im proud of either, i realised after what i used to do and the risks involved after watching 3 lads get side swiped by a lorry and then spat out the front grill 120 yds up the road.
they had no licence's and were showing off, fiat panda vs fuck off lorry guess who won! they all got out with cuts and bruises luckily, if i could go back id have never of done it!

A few of my mates have done this before. One of them even drove form Manchester to Leeds and back and another one drove from London to Alton Towers!!!!! They've got balls cos I would be too scared to do anything like that. It might be a laugh but I think it's jsut not worth it. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. It's just way too risky.

it was stupid, he deserves to loose his licence for a year, if not longer.

If he had crashed into you he would not be insured and you would then have to start a long winded process of repairing your car!

Leo
11th September 2006, 13:28
^ Yup it was very stupid, I'm just glad I can look back and see it was stupid unlike some of my "mates/people i know" who still do the same thing these days except in bigger faster cars.

11th September 2006, 17:01
why the fuck would you drive round with him?? i wouldnt go near someone if i knew they weren’t insured or didn’t have a license.

tip the police off. that will make them stop doing it and hopefully they will get the book thrown at them.

its cos of people like your mate that we have to pay high insurance. if i were you i would give him a slap and tell him to get it sorted.

it's still against the law to drive in car parks/playing fields/industrial estates without a licence unless you have the persmission of the person who owns the land. e/g/ if you were to drive without a licence in your local Tesco car park, you'd have to ask the manager before you could do it.

Its because of these people we pay so much on insurance a year. I had my saxo in the drive for months before i passed but i didnt go out in it even though i really wanted to.Some people need to learn some restraint

And on this note... I'm just waiting for the call from the police to tell me that my brother's being arrested for driving with no tax which would then mean no insurance. He's been caught before but still continues to do it... Just can't be bothered with it anymore.

fitzuk86
14th September 2006, 09:13
Slightly harsh if you ask me. Probably just looking forward to driving and just wanted to take it on a little drive round the block. Come on we have all had a quick go in our mates new car round the block or what not. Its pretty much the same princable. I think a fine and a hell of a bollocking would have been best. The ban is a little cruel

I have nothing to say about people who drive with NO tax/insurance/liscence. Fucking idiots basically. The rest of us honest people spend thousands on learning to drive, tax, insurance etc etc. These people raise premiums and can seriously fuck you over. If i knew anybody doind any of the above on a daily basis i'd seriously tell them what i though. tits.

i can honestly say i have never done that. i think its stupid to do it in any situation

i'm glad he got a ban, maybe it will stop him doing it again where as a fine and a bollocking probly wont stop him.

bird i done on holiday emailed me, sayin she bought a clip 182 and it was great

then 2 days later she emails me sayin she crashed car, shes only got a provisional, but supposedly in ireland you can drive around by yourself with one...

she only had one lesson and went out, foot slipped off the brake and she went into a lampost writing it off...

i found it amusing, clearly speeding and not paying attention, i told her that as well, she wasnt happy, i dont hear from her any more - which is great

Id report anyone i know driving without tax/insurance/licence etc i hate the fact that i pay stupid money and have worked hard to be able to drive a nice car around safely.

The law should be more harsh on them, in this County if your caught driving without insurance its a big fine, court action and the Police keep your car, many of them are crushed
