Ok this may sound a little weird but here goes....

Installed a mk1 mani on my mk2 vtr, I was aware of the things that was needed to install and the installation went ok (few snags).
Anyway it cam to getting the lambda sensor out of the old manifold (the blue plug one) and it simply would not come free.
So what we decided to do was to use the other lambda sensor (the one that was in the top of the old manifold) and just left the blue one unplugged completely.

My question is: is the car ok running like this? I have been driving it around like this for a few weeks now and having no problems i.e fuel is same, not misfiring or anything.

I like said its a unusual question.

thanks.

I had to clamp the manifold in a vice and use a Stilson tiger the sensor out. I've got a VTR one for sale from a 2003 R

what I cant understand is that nothing is wrong with the car even though its missing a lambda sensor.

Green.

The blue one, reads the exhaust (pre cat)

Green one yen? That was the sensor that was plugged into the top of the original manifold?

If the engine management light don't come on then dont worry about it
