So yesterday i swapped the radio feeds over to stop the radio losing settings, also removed rear seats and found a bright red base cable just lying there so i stripped the earth off from the bolt that held the back seats in. Now everytime I open the door the alarm goes off! any thoughts?

Take red wire off tape the end up try again. If alarm does not go off then it would indicate that the red wire is causing a fault with the earth for the rest of the car and could be causing fault for earth and that red wire could be live causing it to trip alarm and cause problems.

You can unplug it. Under where fuse box is to the right of it should be a rubber band sort of thing that holds it in place on right hand side remove rubber band should be 2 connectors on it.

If you had the battery off might need pare the fob up. What saxo this on you got the problems with. Sounds like more going on than meets the eyes from reading the problem with this.
Wish I knew my problem to mine to solve it but dam bloody saxo can be a pain in the ass at times.

It's an 2003 mk2 vts, yeah the battery is disconnected, also I can't use the fab as that is burst to! Am sure when the French wired these things the spark was off and got the bodywork department to wire them

k should be simple remove the above central locking should still work. When you come to starting it give it a few on the accelerator pedal and let it settle.
I had this on mine managed to pare them both up again with fob etc but was a twat to do going off every min so removed box to start up make sure everything else was working wouldn't start but turned over and cut out gave it a few on accelerator pedal and worked.
As that box is the mobilizer part the other one for the fob/central locking is located where the fuse box is behind it.
should look like this black brown or white.

What...
Simply lock and unlock drivers door with key, open door.
alarm sounds and hazards flash
Key in ignition, turn ignition on and hold the alarm button on the steering column shroud (or button on centre dash if a saxo)
hey presto, alarm disabled.
It's only because you had the battery disconnected it's doing this, it resets the alarm.
Get that wire for a sub to fuck. rip it out. That cable has nothing to do with your alarm problem.
Leave everything else as it is! If you remove that box, you'll have no central locking.
