Basiclly I had the cambelt done 2 weeks ago on my fiesta zs all seemed fine until I looked under the car to find no cambelt cover on the bottom bit it was broken off. So ive told the twat that did it to get it sorted which he says will do which involves taking the pulleys off and doin the timing again. My question is will I need another new belt?. Or will the one thats 2,3 week old thats already been fitted be ok still?.

The one on will probably be fine but it has been stretched and tensioned so might be slacker than a brand new one. A brand new one isn't much and he's got it all in bits anyway so may as well get him to bang a new one. I hope he did the tensioner and water pump too?
If it was me I'd probably just put the cambelt that's already on, back on!

Ok cheers im goin to get a new one put on anyway now, he can pay aswell. Im fuming with him he didnt even tell me about it. I only saw it because got a slight leak on the thermostat housing and was checkin underneath. Gonna have to get one from scrappy first, their 110 quid off ford for the whole cambelt cover. Oh well will get it sorted soon I hope. Cheers
