Hello all

I'm presently restoring a 1997 106 GTI and have come to a bit of a dead end on finding a couple of brackets where the flex hose from the brake callipers join the copper hard line brake pipes on the front.

As I understand the part is used on certain Saxo's as well which I would guess are the VTS.

The part numbers are -

4814P7
4814P8

Spent 3 hours at breakers today looking at standard 106 and saxo's 4 studs and they weren't the same as mine. So I guess they are GTI/VTS specific.

The one I'm most desperate for is the N/S (LH) one though I would also take a O/S (RH) if they were available somewhere.

Has anyone got any ideas where to get them from? Or know of someone who is selling them?

Thanks for any help.

VTR are the same if it helps.

Actually thinking on that further.

Do you know if the bracket parts were the same all the way through production on the GTI/VTS/VTR from 97 to finish production or did it change?

Cheers

OK thanks guys for the help.

I ended up finding a Peugeot breaker that had a VTS in shock. I checked the number plate against the part numbers and they were correct.

Just waiting for the parts to arrive now.

Ha ha ha

The saxo which was supposed to have the same brackets on as my car............................................... ......................... didn't

So much for checking part number against a car reg :wall:

I'd show you a picture of what they look like but you have to upload from a URL on this site.

Anyhow the guy who got the other ones off has seen a R 106 he has in and the description sounds like mine. So just pop a pic over to him to check they are the right ones and we should be there.
