Saxo VTR Performance

I have an 02 Plate Saxo VTR in Icelandic Grey and think that the colour looks smart.

However, Im well disappointed with the performace of my Saxo. I was racing a Nova SRi (1.4) last week and just couldn't get past it. I find this is the case with most cars I try to race within the sporty varioty. I consider myself I good driver with a history of driving hot hatches. i have to say though Im really disappointed with the overall performace as standard that my VTR is delievering. The not being able to get past a Nove SRi was the final nail in the coffin last week. Im thinking about selling the thing and getting shut.

How can you persuade me otherwise fellow Saxo Fans without spending shit loads of cash?

hi im new aswell get an exhaust air filter and see if that helps

Simply get rid of the VTR and pounce onto a VTS - sorted!

You'll kick ass all over the place. Just imagine what you can do if you have a nice sum of cash to mod it with!

my VTR seems to do ok against things like Nova's Corsa GSi's etc, ive done a few engine bits, nothing too extreme though

something doesn't sound right there.... R u sure was 1.4? also the older the car the faster it goes, TILL IT BLOWS UP and trust me THEY DO! we had a ASTRA 1.4 with just a K&N and it FLEW, not alot could touch it! only things like vectra 2.0's. it blew up 5 months ago! now my mate has a westie..

I agree sumat aint rite there 2b honest theres not many normal cars on the road a vtr cant do from the lights, i had a 2.2 astra sri off the lights the other day the bloke was gutted lol!!! A nova shud b no probs, all ave done to mine is lowered by 50mm, pipercross and twin 3.5" exhaust bak box only. If ur seriously cant beat a 1.4 nova i'd get ya car checked out, am not mockin u am serious cus u shud out perform one of them!!
