Really like this game but what the .f is going on with the handling and steering that locks hard over when direction is changed quickly?

is that just me?

absoloutly spoilt :n:

Is it not worth getting then?

This is the second thing I've heard about dodgy handling

It's realistic, wait till the tyres warm up.

the superkarts have had my life the past day, i have a decent set up for every other car but as soon as you get in a super kart you accelerate its all over the road, winds me right up

I've found its realistic but you can't drift for shit on it. As soon as any inertia is thrown about, you just spin out.
I just stick in the Clio cup car though, it's most fun haha

What's it like compared to driveclub

drive club is better more predictable handling but pj cars is a lot better game. you do need to adapt to the handling. there are some changes to control setup that can help, but also make things bloody terrible lol

i found it quite good tbh, there are some annoying niggles.
main thing i don't like is that everything is 'open' from the beginning.

Cool. I will get it and give it a go sounds good tho! Can you do more tuning with the cars so more like forza for the Xbox?

sexy_gt

I dont think there is any tuning available only set up changes. Think of grid rather than forza.

Okay. But of a let down then I was hoping it would be like forza as you can't get that in ps4

Google settings for best handling. Some chaps put some bits up regarding dead zone, throttle responce, controller smoothing etc... Loads better.

There's been reports of a bug with the XBone controllers set up, a lot of people complaining about there being no adjustment to the steering lock, i.e. its either on or off..

I might get this if my ps4 decides to stop being a total arsehole

whats your problem?

other than in the wet, i'm finding it pretty good, in the wet you can tail the ai cars exactly and you can go as fast round a corner, its like the physics dont change for them

you can tune your car, you know when your in edit set up for the vehicle press RT then keep doing it for all the suspension geometry set ups and spring rates and dampers and shit

I think he wanted to change coilovers, add turbos etc rather than just tweaking the setup.

I don't get why people compare it to Driveclub, that was so unrealistic and arcadey. This is a simulator, not really a game. The joy comes from shaving half a second off your lap, not holding a sick drift.

It's not comparable to forza, GT5 etc, it has it's own genre. People think it's difficult and therefore not worth buying. Try jumping straight into a Ginetta in the wet and see how you get on.

There's a patch coming for the controller bug

Yup, that will stop the full lock issue that I'm experiencing. I still think a lot of people will struggle though.

I remember seeing something, can't remember where, that there was a firmware update for the controllers they were recommending at first as well.

And I agree, I've put around 15 hours or so on it so far, haven't done a wet race yet and I still find a few cars quite a struggle. Really have to be careful with the throttle in a lot of them.

I have this now. The problem I see with the karts is that if you're going slightly off straight and move the stick a tiny bit to straighten up it always goes too far and I end up crashing haha.

It seems alright but I think its the sort of game you have to be in the mood to play. It's a bit serious so far
