im now 21 and my ban is up 7th of june my license will come back clean as far as dvla are concerned but when coming to insurance its not clean they want to hear past 5 years nitty gritty,,, there relatively minor offences ts50 went down wrong way when first past 3points then when i got those points i could't afford insurance so got in10 no insurance 6 points which = 9.. then i got caught again and the conviction was 0 points but 6 month ban totting up conviction i thought ok... ive been waiting patiently ive changed my bad habits and i quit my driving job to avoid further hassle now on 7th of June my license comes back 0 points but all online quotes asking for 5year history please... fair enough but everyone says we cant insure this driver... and if they accept they want 8 thousand on a 1.1 its so contradicting considering most those convictions was due to not being able to afford insurance in the first place i suspect they want us to carry on getting further into crap, so how do i got about this?? what can i do to become legal it sucks because i want to work again (driving wise) and just incase anybody says its this and that i know, as u can see im trying to change to go legit and start building those healthy ncb points hehe i know it serves me right do crime pay the time, but has to be some sort of guidance to get back on track or is it literally sit out for 5 6 years till it blows over? and then if i pretend i dont got any convictions my insurance is 600 :( any advise id really appreciate it!! thank you
