Power assisted steering not working again.

Hi, I, managed to remove motor end plate & clean up with wd40 to get motor working a couple of years ago.

Suddenly on starting the pas stopped working.

Heated rear screen and heater fan still working so not ignition switch.

Apart from a slight fluid leak all has been well. Could fluid find its way into the motor?

Can anyone suggest some electrical tests to try before taking the pump out again?

The grey relay? - can’t see a fuse listed.

Disconnect and run 12v through the motor?

Any other ideas?

Need to know if its car wiring or duff pump.

First port of call is unplug it and check there is power to it with the engine running. Or run a feed to it and see what it does

Ok thanks. That's what I was thinking. Need to watch polarity with motor or does it run both ways?
