Hi just wondering if anyone here knows how I can find someone's national insurance number without them knowing. Nothing malicious I need it to do a drivers licence check that is all. If people would rather PM than post I'd appreciate the help thanks

If it's for your own business you should have it anyway. We need them for checking our drivers and have all the NI numbers on payroll.

But as said, p45 or payslip!

Ask them for it? If there's nothing malicious I'm sure they wouldn't mind obliging.

That said, why would you need an NI number to do a licence check?

DVLA website asks for it. i'm guessing they're linked, probably for security as its not something people can easily get hold of (as shown) but i'd be able to find my own
