hopefully someone can shine some light on the problems i am having.
over the summer I've been working on putting a 2002 VTR engine into a 1998 1.1 saxo.
finally got to the point of trying to start it up this weekend but it failed to start.

when we turn the key the fuel pump primes, and we have fuel at the rail. the starter motor cranks over and the engine turns but fails to start.

i removed the spark plugs and found they were completely dry even though the engine should have been full of fuel after the amount of times it tried to start. i also tested the spark plugs by earthing them to the block and there was no spark.

so it seems that both the plugs and injectors aren't firing. im guessing this is either an electircal or ecu/immobiliser issue,

can anyone else suggest any othe possible causes

thanks in advance

Flashing key on the dash?

Checked the crank sensor?

Checked the earths?

Crank sensor as above... I think the fuel pump won't prime if it was immobiliser problem
