Sounds looks like a very good deal - £9.98 for the phone. Would be perfect whilst the girlfriend is away at uni with the free calls....
Any of you lot got one? What's the call quality like?

to be honest dude all you need to do is download Skype and tell your GF to do the same.
it's free to use.
the sound quality is excellent, TV audio quality.
job done :)

You could use any Voice coms on the net, Skype is probably the best. There is also Team Speak, Ventrillo plus many more, all free.

Cheers for that, wasn't aware about Skype and the others.
The thing is, I think the tescos deal is best as I don't have a plug in phone or a mic. If I got skype, i'd still need to buy a phone which will cost around £10 anyway.

No.
You can use a headset, or an earpiece.

Ventrillo is much faster, with better codecs.

You can pick mics up for cheap mate, or get a mic with headset!

My sisters and all her friends have just bought one of these phones from Tesco, they seem like really good quality. You actually have a proper landline number with them that people anywhere can call you on. Its 2p a minute for calls but that included mobiles, landlines, phoning abroad, so basically any call you make is 2p a minute. Well worth it i think
