I was quite surprised anyone would be stupid enough to film them selves doing 192mph on the public highway but more so impressed with the penalty imposed of a 10 year driving ban and 2 years 4 month jail.

if only more people using mobiles in general were caught and given proper punishements!

192 is bloody mental on a public road.

Shame he didn't crash and die on a pothole, that would have been much better for the public purse.

People that actually kill people in rta's acting the dick get an easier sentence than that.

We have a problem with joyriding over here and nothing is done about it, the police watch it happening in certain areas and are powerless. Often bystanders are injured and people killed and the joyriders get off with suspended sentences. Hell, there's been many cases of joyriders crashing a stolen car, disabling themselves and then claiming off the government and getting top line DLA for the rest of their scummy lives.

The most bonkers thing of all is that his daughter got a 2 year ban for sitting in the passenger seat!! Sorry, but I don't agree with that one little bit.

Maybe, but the camera was fixed and only showed the clocks so he could have legitimately been on private land as far as everyone is concerned.

That cow should have received 5 years in prison and a 10 years ban.

That's not what she was charged with though.....

"His daughter, of Hove Road, Rushden, was found guilty of inciting or encouraging an offence of dangerous driving.

She was given a two-year driving disqualification and an 18-month conditional discharge."

Like I say, totally bonkers.

Here's an example why not. Our public roads are not your racetrack.

To be fair though, the time it takes to hit these speeds isn't ages, it's not like people going "my ST can do 150" because that takes fucking eons.

You could easily hit the bottom of an average sliproad at 140mph, err, I'd imagine.

You can lessen the risk if it's a motorway and there's nobody ahead of you and no sliproads on, but I agree it's naughty. I wouldn't like to be parked changing a tyre when 2 tons of german barge skids over 3 lanes and clips my car at 200mph

what he said

too many idiots on the road, people don't observe and are not aware of their surroundings.
may be an old biddy in the wrong lane, she's not gonna see you coming up behind at 192mph, just stupid really this is exactly how accidents happen.

if you have that sort of money to put into a high end german automobile, i'm pretty fucking sure you have the money to be going to track days.
Anyone can drive a fast car, being able to handle it etc is another matter, better to take that risk against a run off and a tyre wall than an innocent bystander
private land is another matter - you're only going to kill yourself, but who realistically has that much road to work up to 200mph?

total douchebag

This is how its different on a bike. You can hit high speeds a lot faster than in a car. A lot less scary too imo haha

We did 200mph in my mates Audi on a old disused runway for next to nothing price wise, more people to watch and more of a buzz to get a print out of your trap time.

I wouldn't risk those speeds on British roads, too many slick spots from old roadwork white lines and the likes, compared to the roads of say Belgium and Germany we don't compare. Surely he can afford cars like that what's £110 on a p&o over to Europe where it's legal

I'd rather be on 4 wheels like, on cruise at 175 with a brew on the go than on a bike

The one time I went on a back of a bike will be my one and only time, shit the living daylights out of me.The way the speed suddenly kicked in as the turbo took over.:fcuk::fcuk::fcuk:

Time and a place should have done it on the track. Any muppet can put their foot flat to the floor but takes abit more skill to keep that speed up through the bends..
