Broken door...

Hi guys

As per the thread I started about the new vts, the drivers door doesn't open as someone tried stealing it before I had it.

Just wondered if anyone knows the best way of getting the mechanism straight so the lock and handle etc all function properly.
As you will know there is a screw in the door card between the door and the side of the dash. I'd prefer not to break the door card if possible, but I can't bend the door card far forward enough to get my big ol' sausage fingers down there, so is this the only way to access it all?


Once the door card is off, will it just be a matter of putting the lock straight? May need a new door if it won't play ball.


Any advice on where to start is appreciated :)

The screw goes into a plastic nut of sorts in the door which have a habit of breaking, so if you pull it right you could break that bit instead. Theres no other easy way unfortunately

so long story short just snap the door card off.
not too bothered as it'll be getting stripped anyway, just sort of makes the other side redundant unless someone only needs the passenger side.
