I've got a 307 xsi BE4R box hubs and driveshafts I know the passenger shaft will need shortening and I play on buying the Atspeed BE mount kit but how do you work the hubs do you machine the correct size bearings into the Saxo hubs or do you use the 307 hubs? Thanks Matt

use saxo uprights and machine 206 /307 drive flanges to suit saxo wheel brgs--do not use cheap £15 wheel brgs --they don,t last --but do fit new ones

Agree with gmc above however spoox sell be shafts made the correct length with ma hub to suit saxo.

They are about £580 a pair incl modified driveshaft carrier.

If the car is for anything other than pure track use, you'll be better fabricating something rather than use the at speed solid rosejointed 'solution'.

Why not use the Satchell Engineering kit? Its designed to move the engine 20mm towards the nearside, improving weight distribution as well as allowing driveshaft clearance on the standard chassis legs. It comes with a 4th engine mount so its far stronger than the rest on the market.

would ask alot of questions before just buying them
could be adding alot of other mods that you are not wanting to do
like ex manifold +system ,gear linkages ?

do they lower engine in chassis as well to give the chassis leg clearance ?--or are they altering the tilt of the engine or both
I am not suggesting they are not well designed or engineered --just make sure you know what other mods you need to do --
must be some -- you can,t just move engine and not alter other things to suit

and of course you will need different drive shafts again --to suit the new postion

satchell kit is great, I really would go for the larger be cv joints, they are much stronger.

the saxo I service for has a full satchell suspension setup on the front so it uses 307 hubs (like the R2 rally cars) it also has an R2 sadev box, which is ml inner splines! rh shaft is an unmodified 406 v6/hdi shaft!! (its very wide)


no exhaust mods were needed with the 20mm relocation, nor chassis leg iirc, though for a be box it does need some modification, its shown in a few threads though, nothing difficult.

gear linkage mods are very easy, they just need to be 20mm longer,

If you shift the engine over you'll need to notch the chassis rail to clear the box AND fit/weld the fabricated engine mount on the passenger side... there is quite a bit of work..

Yeah there's quite a bit of cutting and welding involved. I found removing the original gearbox mount from the passenger side rail to be a nightmare too.

Satchell can supply modified driveshafts to suit their BE kit too - a lot cheaper than ~£500 for the pair...
