I'm back fixing my turbo saxo again after a rest from it.

The fuel pump is not priming
the starter motor is not turning over, I do get the click when the key is turned though, and I have all lights on the dash.

Things I've checked:
battery (new)
crank sensor (new)
earths ( gearbox one, both to fuses and battery earth)
starter motor cables
All fuses checked.
also running a pred so not immobiliser

help!

Checked your getting power to the starter? You could test the starter off the car. Solonoidscan be a twat

It'll still crank but won't get any fuel.:y:

Shall bench test it now, although it has been tested before, but anything can happen lol

Just nicked another relay to try so that will rule that out, also tested the fuel pump with a battery and it worked, next i'm going to test the loom and the ignition switch wires :y:

fuel pump is still not priming, that's what I need to fix first, swapped the relay, checked the ignition switch wires and bench tested the fuel pump so I know that works, what else can I try?

With ignition on,check that you've got voltage from the fuel pump relay to it's connecting wires.

just did that, think I did it right with the multimeter, ignition on, didn't get any volts?

Whip the relay out clean up the contacts then try.Have you checked all the fuses in the engine bay?

yep checked all fuses, I whipped out number 9 turned ignition on and used the multimeter in there, and read 0 volts to

if I bench test the fuel pump with a battery should the fuel rail fill with fuel?

Aslong as all fuel lines are connected then yeah it will fill the rail mate

this car is still giving me problems :( fuel pump is 100% working because fuel pissed out into my cup when I bench tested it, fuel pump relay has been changed, fuse box has been taken out every fuse has continuity and it in tact.

Every battery wire has been taken off and checked, all is good there, still getting no priming, and no turning over, just a click,

it's worth saying when it last started I had taken the head off and cambelt etc, then put it all back on, it turned over once then nothing, but since then I've put a new head gasket on, new water pump new cambelt, and it's all timed up, surely if it was one tooth out it would still prime and attempt to turn over?

If it's a click from the starter then it sounds like the solonoid is kicking in but not spinning up.

it's not in a state to be bump started, it's on axle stands atm lol, i'm now going to whip the starter off and bench test it, watch this space :y:

ok found the starter motor problem lol, more inspection led to me finding the live to the battery was fried at the ring connector, literally fell apart in my hand :n: so let's fix that, then see what happens :y:

Don't know about other people but I am getting mixed messages of exactly what is happening, can we start with basics, when you switch on the ignition do you hear anything, does the pump prime, yes/no, assuming it does, when you turn the starter key does the engine turn yes/no if I read it right No, get a jump lead & go from negative battery to engine this will prove your earths,

Says it all in the first post :) pump doesn't prime, nor does the starter turn, however this buggered cable should solve the starter, then i'll go from there :y:

Fixed :) was the starter cable, put a new ring connector on it, put everything back together and now it primes and turns over :) just got to get the ecu fixed now because it hates the cold weather as it don't communicate with the icv :(
