Cheers,it's just that at the moment i'm not using the car a lot ie 20 miles a week.I went to start it this morning and it turned over but very slowly,so the thinking was to get one of these booster units just in case the battery goes flat.:drink:

Better off getting a new battery if you know yours is weak

Cheers it's only cold weather that it turns over slowly,you might be right it's been a few years since I changed the battery.:drink:

At the price of a portable jump starter you may as well buy a new battery, I got one from Costco. It cost me £70 �� but it is handy

If your carrying them about with your they tend be flat by the time it comes round to using them unless you often charge them. As said a new battery is best bet. You can often fit a larger amp than standard if you wish.

I have just got the suaoki 18000 g7 off ebay £43

It worked brilliant, it started a 205 gti with a dead battery (ie dead for 2 years) no problem

In fact it did it 5 times as we moved th car about
