Ok because of all the issues I have been having with the car I will just make a list....OK so:

SAXO 1.1 HDZ SINGLE POINT INJECTION 2000 reg 59k

Problems:
cold set offs , stall or kangeroo like mad , warm is fine.

Rough idle when warm, sat in traffic it bounces around 500 - 900 rpm the rpm needle constantly bouncing around + sometimes cuts out.

Acceleration isn't smooth all the time it comes in jerks if that makes sense.

Things I have fixed/replaced

Through checks for vacuum leaks
Idle control stepper motor
Cleaned throttle body and inlet manifold
Lambda sensor
Coolant sensor
Cam belt, water pump, tensioner.
Another service + another set of Bosch plugs
Coil pack and ht leads
Gearbox oil
Fuel filter
And a full throttle body replacement from scrap man

Please, any insight or advise would be gratefully appreciated.

Scott, thanks

Fuel pump out give the body a gentle tap,put back in and see if it makes a difference.

Ahh thanks for the replies and suggestions I'll update you once I look at the fuel pump. One thing that has just reminded me of actually is a couple of weeks a go after sticking a tenners worth of petrol in, when the pump primes on the 2nd key turn before cranking the engine. The needle didn't move and red light stayed on. It took about 3 primes before the needle moved. Don't know if this is related but the pump had crossed my mind.

That's either the gauge not working properly or the float on the sender that's faulty.

What fixed it in the end?

Sorry for the very late reply, i never got it fixed, still having the same issues but only when the car feels like it. It can be spot on for a couple of weeks, no issues at all then one day sat in traffic it will cut out for no reason or the revs will start bouncing around or sometimes when i set off at roundabouts it will almost die or kangaroo.

There has to be a cause, acceleration still isnt smooth and sometimes i can smell petrol with no apparant cause or visible leaks. It does my head in.

Cant do diagnostics on mine either not without a Lexia obd reader (i think thats what its called) the generic ones dont work on the SPI saxos i believe.

Personally i think its down to fuelling/mixture.
