In a nutshell my dipstick snapped abit of the plastic off bottom in engine a while ago thought nothing of it as it is still sitting in the bottom of tube and have around 4L of oil in my engine. Is this too much ?

If I take dipstick out oil is up to slight above the start of plastic end on but my engine sounds rough and a tad tappety is it possible to damage the tappets and other moving parts by to much oil ?

How can I remove the piece of plastic stuck in the bottom of the tube guys? Take the actual tube off or would it need the sump taking off? I see there wouldn't be much access to where the tube meets the engine

The tube unbolts,to much oil causes the engine to work harder & can cause oil leaks.Too little oil can make the engine sound tappety.
