Does anyone know the torque setting in Nm for:
1) CAT to Manifold
2) CAT to centre pipe. This connection has springs with a wire type gasket between. So I guess the torque setting is quite low.

Front pipe to manifold nut:
1587 cc 16v: 8nm
All other models: 35nm
Front pipe to intermediate pipe/cat: 10 nm
Clamping ring nuts: 15nm

Sorry meant to say on a furio. It has just the one long centre pipe. Anyone know the torque setting on the centre pipe joint where the two springs are?

I don't agree, if there is a gasket (like in the centre) too tight you will bugger it and not tight enough it will leak. I always torque things if there is a gasket and never go wrong.

if it's not tight enough you'll hear it.

Personally think torquing the exhaust is a bit of a waste of time, maybe the manifold to the head but not the rest of it afterall it's going to move and expand with heat anyways

Just give it a good nip. (that's an actual measured technical term). :D

Just looked in the manual and it says 'FT' torque for the exhaust, which translates to 'fucking tight'
