trying everything here, with the ICV completely removed and the hole sealed, and with the throttle adjusted and fixed into place, the cars idle is still erratic, revs start at 1krpm, then bounce to 2krpm, then idle drops and engine cuts out.

Is this a fuel problem/ecu?

edit: I can also hear a slight hiss from the intake manifold, is it normal to hear it, or could I have a vaccum leak?

Sound like a vac leak.
Unplug the tps and see if the bouncing stops.
If it does and it then just idles too fast you definitely have a leak.

unplugged it, nothing changed :( just put new 0 rings on the intake manifold, and cleaned the t/b and checked all the vaccum pipes, I have a vaccum gauge and it's constantly moving up and down.

What does it do if you hold a very slight amount of throttle on?

idle holds steady, has to be about 1500rpm, this is using a predator ecu, with the standard ecu it holds idle at 1krpm until revved then stayed at 1500rpm, think I need my map sorted tbh, I've tried everything else now.

update: when I remove the map sensor on the intake it will not die but the revs bounce, when I plug it in it dies, really thinking its the map on the car, going to book it in the garage.

Oh.

Best advice is bin it and fit the stock one back on...

Can the standard ecu be mapped for boost?

Yes. Either type can. C2s can too....

You even get boost readings over the OBD to log with you scanner or phone app if it's a three-plug.

Got it booked in with stew on here, ecu also still has warranty on it, so hopefully gets sorted if it is the ecu at fault :y:
