Hello everyone,
It's about time I introduced myself, my names Jay - sorry about the cringe username... I couldn't think of anything else at the time. :S
I've been a member on here since 2009 and came across this website in the form of two stickers on the rear windows of my first car.
I signed up to the site shortly after taking ownership as it was a good source of information and inspiration for my car.
My first car was a Citroen Saxo Forte 1.1 litre in Posiden Blue, sorry no photos. Paid £995.00 for it in 2009.
After a couple of alterations, VTR wheels, stripped interior and smoked headlights I was happy. I do recall badgering someone on here to lower it but didn't get around to it in the end.
Following a number of years happy motoring I decided to trade it in for a Ford Fiesta Flight 1.3 litre in Black and left the forum behind.
Some time after that I found another Saxo, however this one needed some work. It was a Citroen Saxo Desire 1.1 litre again in Posiden Blue - sorry no photos. I got it off an old friend and paid £80.00 for it.
It had been in an accident, needed a replacement battery and there was a power steering issue. On top of that it had no MOT.
Managed to get the accident repaired for £120.00 got a replacement battery for £20.00 and fixed the power steering using the guide on here. MOT passed no problems.
When I moved in with the Mrs, I decided to sell the car and got £350.00 for it.
Since then I've always wanted another Citroen, preferably a VTS and now that time has come.
I am now the proud owner of a 2003 Citroen Saxo VTS in Silver.
I plan to start up a progress thread shortly and once complete take it to the French Car Show Weekender in June.
